Setting Up VMcast on Amazon Fire TV Stick

This guide will help you find, install, and set up the Amazon Fire TV Stick's ViewMedica app.

1) Set up your Amazon Fire TV Stick

Follow the steps given to you by Amazon to connect your Amazon Fire TV Stick to your TV and wireless internet connection. For additional information and support for the hardware, please view their help section regarding setup.

2) Search for the ViewMedica App

From the ‘Home’ screen, navigate to ‘Search’ in the menu on the left using your remote's navigation buttons and hit the ‘Select’ button on your remote.

From the search page, use your remote to input ‘Viewmedica’ in the search box.

Important: You will need to type the whole word. Predictive search will not automatically pull our app’s name.

Once typed in, hit down on the navigation button on your remote to highlight 'Viewmedica'. Hit the remote’s ’Select’ button to choose the app.

3) Install the App

Hit the remote’s ’Select’ button again to open the ViewMedica app overview page.

Select ‘Download’ and wait for the app to download and install. This may take a few minutes depending on your wireless network speed.

4) Setup the App

Before you begin, be sure you have the following to ensure a smooth setup.

  • Your client ID number
  • Your access code

These were emailed to you when you signed up for VMcast. If you do not have this information, you can login to your ViewMedica account and go to "Your Profile" from the Dashboard to get this information. If you license multiple streams, get those access codes by going to "VMcast Service Settings" from the Dashboard.

After you have installed the app, Select ‘Open’ to launch the app. Follow the prompts on the screen to complete your setup.

Enter your Client ID number and select ‘Submit’.

Enter your Access Code and hit the remote’s ‘Select’ button.

You should now see where you can choose to select from a default “All Videos” playlist or from playlists you already created in your ViewMedica account.

Choose the playlist you want to stream and hit the remote’s ‘Select’ button. You will see the videos that are in that playlist load. Choose the first video in the playlist and hit 'Select' on your remote to begin playback.

Your custom ad-free waiting room broadcast should now play and loop throughout the day!
